Beyoncé’s is showing her support by donating funds to those impacted by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles through her charity.
The superstar’s BeyGood foundation announced Sunday that it would be giving $2.5 million to help bring relief to families affected by the wildfires in L.A. The donation will go to BeyGood’s L.A. Fire Relief Fund, which the charity started in the midst of the devastation.
“Los Angeles we stand with you,” read the caption of the post on the foundation’s Instagram page. “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

The wildfires started Jan. 7 after a series of strong winds. They have since ignited across the Los Angeles area, leaving a trail of destruction and killing at least 24 people while destroying thousands of structures, officials said Sunday. And many other Hollywood stars have also showed their support since the fires began.
Beyoncé’s family has also been impacted by this tragedy. On Friday, her mom, Tina Knowles, revealed her Malibu bungalow burned down.
In a post on Instagram she wrote, “This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu! It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone!! God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions.”
“This could have been so much worse with out the dedication of the disaster workers and first responders. I’m so sad for the people who lost the five family members. My deepest Prayers are with you !!!!!! To the people who lost their homes and belongings , I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you worked so hard and sacrificed so much to own ! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you,” she continued.
