Avengers: Doomsday Fan Art Imagines Evil Versions of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye & Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow
New fan art imagines Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye taking on a more sinister role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rumors have been circulating that some of the MCU’s original Avengers may return for Avengers: Doomsday.
Instagram user @arifinity_ shared their artwork, which depicts both Johansson and Renner as “master assassins” for Avengers: Doomsday. The film, which is set to be released in 2026 as part of the MCU’s Phase Six, is confirmed to have Robert Downey Jr. returning in a new role after previously portraying Tony Stark / Iron Man. Downey Jr. will play Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom, replacing Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror as the original antagonist for the scrapped Avengers: The Kang Dynasty film.
The actual plot and whether other Avengers actors will be returning for Doomsday remains to be seen, but the film will see actors from the MCU’s first Phase Six film reprising their roles. The Fantastic Four members, played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will all take part in Doomsday, which is set to begin filming starting in March.
Other films set to make up the MCU’s Phase Six include a currently untitled Spider-Man: No Way Home sequel also scheduled for release in 2026. The film, which will see Tom Holland once again playing Peter Parker, is set to begin filming in June and will be released July 24, 2026 — a few months after Doomsday hits theaters on May 1, 2026. Another Avengers movie, Secret Wars, remains in development with a planned release date of May 7, 2027.

Chris Evans Returns for Avengers: Doomsday
News that Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU in a more sinister role has provided ample inspiration for artists like @arifinity_ to imagine other Avengers veteran actors like Johansson and Renner to also return to the franchise as more villainous characters like Red Widow and Ronin respectively. While news of either actor’s casting has yet to be confirmed or even hinted at, another member from the original Avengers film has been confirmed to be returning for Avengers: Doomsday.
Chris Evans was recently announced to return for the upcoming Avengers film, but the exact details of his role have not been revealed. Evans originally played Steve Rogers / Captain America in the MCU until Avengers: Endgame, where his character chose to live out his life in the past with Peggy Carter and allowing Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson to take the mantle of Captain America. After a cameo appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine as The Fantastic Four’s Johnny Storm, it seems likely that Evans’ return for Doomsday will see him playing a new character in the multiverse — and that role could very well end up being a villain aligned with Downey Jr.’s Doomsday.
We’ve never been particularly fond of the Lexus RC, but that won’t stop us from mourning the death of yet another V-8. Lexus has confirmed that the regular RC and the eight-cylinder RC F will end production after this year. That means they won’t be retired immediately, rather 2025 marks the final model year for both cars.
Before it goes, the RC gets one minor visual change, as it adopts red brake calipers (changed from orange). That only applies to rear-drive RC F Sport models, though, as the other trims are unchanged.
Things are slightly more exciting for the proper RC F, which will be sold exclusively in Final Edition form for 2025. The last version of the RC F builds off last year’s Carbon Package model, so it features a carbon-fiber treatment for the front spoiler, rear diffuser, roof, and the active rear wing.
The RC F rides on a set of 19-inch BBS wheels, and there’s even a special engine-cover badge for its 5.0-liter V-8. As with the lesser RC, the F gets red brake calipers. The interior gets a new look too, with the leather and Ultrasuede finished in a special red and black job.
The last RC F we tested was the 2021 Fuji Speedway Edition, which we guided to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds flat. While certainly not slow, the $100,000 Lexus continues to fall by the wayside of competitors in the same price class. Still, we’ll lament the loss of yet another naturally aspirated V-8 on our roads.
For the final model year, the 2025 Lexus RC300, with its turbo four and rear-wheel drive, starts at $46,445. The all-wheel-drive version has a naturally aspirated V-6 and is priced at $49,135. Meanwhile, the RC350 has a more powerful version of the same V-6; it starts at $49,375 and $51,540 for rear- or all-wheel drive, respectively. The RC F Final Edition starts at $94,000 and features a 472-hp 5.0-liter V-8.
