Jade Cargill seems to have a question for Naomi
After the WWE Women’s Tag champs discussed the lack of leads in the case of Cargill’s mystery attacker on SmackDown, Jade reacted… and with a big title match coming up in Atlanta soon, we wonder if a reveal isn’t imminent.
Last Tuesday, NXT’s Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson became the #1 contenders for Naomi & Bianca Belair’s WWE Women’s Tag Team championship. But that’s not the biggest story Naomi & Bianca are involved in right now…
The bigger story would be who attacked Belair’s former titleholding partner Jade Cargill. Naomi got the belt when she replaced Cargill after a mysterious late November attack sidelined the former AEW TBS champion with (checks notes) a bruised kidney, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a tibial plateau bone bruise on her right knee, facial lacerations, and deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions.
On the Jan. 17 SmackDown, Bianca checked in with her current tag partner about leads in the assault that took out her former one. Naomi, who denies any wrongdoing but for many is a lead suspect in the crime, reported there were “still no leads… nothing at all”.
Cargill, who’s been channeling some pop culture revenge stories lately, posted shortly after that scene. She seems dubious.
When could we see Jade return to reveal (and pummel) her attacker? Word is she’s off vacation, training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and preparing for a WrestleMania program that could involve either Belair or Naomi. If they want to start that program in Atlanta, the Tag champs will defend against the Meta-Girls when NXT is on the road there on Jan. 28…
