Update on Paul Heymanâs Backstage Presence in WWE
It has been nearly five months since fans last saw WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman on screen. The Wiseman of Roman Reigns was taken out by Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline.
On the June 28th edition of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa claimed the title of the new Tribal Chief. He ordered the new Bloodline members Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to acknowledge him. The new members obeyed Sikoa, but Paul Heyman, caught in a difficult position during Roman Reignsâ absence, refused to follow Sikoaâs command.
This angered Solo Sikoa, who responded by delivering a Samoan Spike and ordering the new Bloodline members to throw Heyman through the announcersâ table. After the brutal attack, Paul Heyman disappeared from TV.
However, last week on WWE SmackDown Roman Reigns tried reaching out to his Wiseman Paul Heyman on the phone. However, Heyman did not answer the call leaving Reigns worried. Despite his absence from television, original Bloodline member Jey Uso provided a major update on Paul Heymanâs backstage role.

In a recent interview with Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, WWE Superstar Jey Uso revealed that Paul Heyman continues to work backstage despite his absence from television. He stated, âThe Wiseman is really the Wiseman to my family. Heâs been around my family more than 50 years. He is behind the scenes a lot. He does produce, even when heâs not on TV, heâs there.
Considering him as a valuable asset, Jey Uso adds, âIâm glad heâs close to my family, and Iâm just glad to have him on our side. Heâs a big player to vouch for you and push for you. Any problem we have, we go to him. He makes it happen for my family. We love him.â
Last week, Paul Heymanâs name was mentioned for the first time in a long time. It will be interesting to see if the Wiseman will come with some reinforcements for Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

The Civic compact car has been a long-time favorite among our staff for its effortless balance of practicality, value, and driving fun. The 2025 Civic receives styling tweaks to keep it looking fresh and it gains a hybrid variant, updates that aid it in returning to our 10Best list for another year. In the Civic Hybrid, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors provides a combined 200 horsepower, and the car is rated at up to 49 mpg combined. A 150-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder is now the only engine option for the nonhybrid models, and it lacks zeal but also provides impressive fuel efficiency.Â
Sedan and hatchback body styles are available, and the Civic provides agile handling and a well-balanced ride no matter which version you choose. The lower-trim nonhybrid versions have a comprehensive roster of driver-assistance features as standard, but youâll have to step up to the more expensive Hybrid Sport and Hybrid Sport Touring models to get nicer equipment and better infotainment features. Though the 2025 Civic hit the streets running, it faces competition from the recently refreshed Hyundai Elantra and the alluring Toyota Prius, as well as its arch-rival, the Toyota Corolla.
The Civic receives a few cosmetic changes to keep its styling looking fresh for 2025. Revised headlamps and a reworked bumper help visually identify the new model year from last year’s Civic. The bigger news is the addition of the Civic Hybrid. The hybrid powertrain is optional on the Sport trim level and standard on the top Sport Touring trim level. The nonhybrid model, now limited to LX and Sport trims, will be offered only with the nonturbo 2.0-liter four; last year’s turbocharged 1.5-liter has been discontinued. The manual transmission is also no longer available in the Civic hatchback, meaning a stick-shift is now reserved for the sportier Civic Si and Civic Type R models.
