Predicting Roman Reigns’ Next 10 Matches In WWE
Babyface or heel, beloved or belittled, Roman Reigns has been the guy in WWE for a decade, rising from the ashes of Vince McMahon’s misguided Roman Empire booking to become ‘The Tribal Chief’. The unprecedented four-year grasp Roman held on the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was unlike anything else in the modern era and thus, Roman justly earned his spot as WWE’s franchise player.
Roman has yet to wrestle since returning (Bad Blood will house his official in-ring return), though a handful of obvious matches are awaiting him. Between anticipated showdowns opposite Jacob Fatu and The Rock, and emotional reunions with the original Bloodline, Reigns won’t be shy of marquee attractions in the long run.
Though Roman Reigns’ constant championship-winning legacy became tiresome incredibly quickly, his legacy as Undisputed Universal Champion may never be repeated. The championship regained the prestige it had long been lacking, the back catalog of defenses contained some genuine must-see matches, and it allowed Roman to transform from the average over-pushed Joe into a pop culture phenomenon.
As such, a return to championship scenery will be a road WWE hopes to travel down imminently – but it should be the World Tag Team Championships he targets. Currently sitting around the waists of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, a title quest should await Reigns at Crown Jewel . His partner? Nobody. To set up for the obvious Survivor Series match, it is a necessity to reiterate that Roman burned every bridge he had. That can’t – and won’t – be overlooked in the Triple H Era.
Triple H’s incessant portrayal of Solo Sikoa as an upper-class WWE Superstar has been one of ‘The Game’s’ weakest booking executions . Solo has struggled to settle into the role, lacking the fiery wrestling ability, piercing mic work, and unreachable aura needed to stand out from the pack. That’s why it’s crucial to get his inevitable match against Roman Reigns out of the way.

A pre-Survivor Series broadcast of SmackDown would be the ideal setting with a WarGames advantage stipulation determining who the real ‘Tribal Chief’ is, and perhaps it would be an idea to have the Ula Fala officially defended in the bout. Whatever the case, Reigns vs. Sikoa will be Roman’s first singles quest.
The concept of gimmicked Premium Live Events, wherein a specific match stipulation (Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, et al) is promoted simply because of the calendar month, is a dumb, nonsensical creation that Triple H has attempted to rectify. WarGames has often bordered on this line, too, though for 2024, WWE won’t have that issue; the Bloodline Civil War has written itself .
Joining Roman Reigns on the original Bloodline’s lineup will be Jey and Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and a returning Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, appearing as a surprise entrant. Opposite them will be the current Bloodline quartet of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, with their fifth ally being a mystery going into the match. This will be the moment, though, that ‘The Final Boss’ betrays ‘The OTC’ to light the Las Vegas flame ahead of WrestleMania 41 .
A bigger, better match could await Roman Reigns when WWE brings the Saturday Night’s Main Event banner out of retirement, but it’s a rematch vs. Solo Sikoa that matters the most. In lieu of The Rock siding with the revamped Bloodline against his cousin’s original lineup, Reigns will be seeking vengeance – and it’s Sikoa, at this stage still dubbed ‘The Tribal Chief’, who’ll do the dirty work for ‘The People’s Champion’.
This will do wonders for the build towards Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 41, as a victory over Solo Sikoa would allow Roman to reclaim his title at the head of the table, while on the off-chance Sikoa defeated Reigns, it would go a long way in cementing him as a legitimate force in WWE, a trait he has failed to capitalize on after defeating John Cena in 2023.
WWE’s debut on Netflix in January 2025 will begin an unprecedented period for the sports entertainment emporium and, as such, WWE should be expected to go all out with the debut broadcast, penciled for Monday, January 6.
Roman Reigns will be one of the names brought in for the occasion – and he should compete, too. Tagging with The Usos against Solo Sikoa and The Tongans will add another chapter to the Bloodline Civil War saga that WWE will heavily promote ahead of WrestleMania, and will act as an apt headliner for WWE’s arrival on the world’s largest streaming platform.
There is no current front-runner to win the 2025 Royal Rumble match . Cody Rhodes’ third victory sits off the table, owing to his current status as Undisputed WWE Champion; the same goes for World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther. John Cena may eye a third Rumble win to tie ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin before he retires. A younger talent could perhaps go all the way, like Carmelo Hayes or Bron Breakker.
Roman Reigns, though, should be in the running. He hasn’t entered WWE’s thirty-man fray since 2020, so it’ll have been five years since his last participation by the time of the 2025 Royal Rumble and thus, perhaps time to remind the WWE Universe why he holds the canonical record for most eliminations.

The Rock has two options for WrestleMania 41; challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship or collide with his cousin, Roman Reigns, in a match almost a decade in the making. Both are palatable, dream-worthy matches deserving of the grandeur of ‘The Show of Shows’, but the latter is more necessary – and it’s a match Reigns has to earn by defeating Jacob Fatu.
Fatu has to defeat Reigns in their first encounter. If not, WWE risks the 279-pounder losing the immense aura he has possessed his entire career. Having it portrayed on-screen that The Rock has chosen him above all other Bloodline lifers to be the final hurdle for Reigns would elevate Jacob Fatu from a superstar into a megastar .
Though he should lose in his final hurdle vs. Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns will find a way to stand across the squared circle from The Rock. It’s indisputably a match that WWE is keen to produce, with it having reportedly been “locked in” for WrestleMania 39, as The Rock revealed on The Pat McAfee Show some five months afterwards (H/T Wrestling Inc.):
“The Rock headlining WrestleMania with Roman Reigns, SoFi Stadium, that was locked. We were doing it. “
Headlining WrestleMania 41’s first evening , Roman Reigns and The Rock must wrestle a largely clean match. The Bloodline saga has forever relied upon shenanigans, so shying away from this all too obvious trope for what will become the five-year saga’s defining match is a must.
Roman Reigns will likely take a brief spell away from the WWE limelight post-WrestleMania 41, as he should, but upon his return, a World Championship should be in his eyeshot – much like John Cena. Cena, who’ll retire at the end of 2025 , is one championship win away from breaking the record co-held by him and Ric Flair, but he has never been able to overcome Roman Reigns in a singles match. The story writes itself.
Placed as the headliner of 2025’s Money in the Bank for a SummerSlam title opportunity, Cena should win the match with the unwanted assistance of Jacob Fatu. Going against his mantra of playing by the rules, though, it has to be retold that John was aware of the aid, therefore restating his 17th World Championship aspirations.
SummerSlam 2025 will mark Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu’s second match, playing off of Fatu’s interference in Reigns’ Money in the Bank loss to John Cena. By this point, The Bloodline’s dominance of WWE will have withered away, the members still aligned but having moved into their own side quests, with Jacob Fatu having become the group’s leading star.
