Triple H reveals story of him, Shawn Michaels & DX nearly gettingĀ firedĀ fromĀ WWE
In a conversation with Sports Bible, WWE COO, Paul āTriple Hā Levesque reminisced about the time the Stamford-based promotion almost fired him due to his skits with Shawn Michaels. Before his days as the WWE top brass, Levesque was one of the biggest stars in the promotion.
Although he achieved significant success later on, Triple H recalled that during his time in D-Generation X with Shawn Michaels, the promotion had threatened to fire him.
On July 18, 2011, Vince McMahon announced that moving forward Triple H would work as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of WWE.
Levesque took the Stamford-based promotion to new heights since taking over the role of Chief Operating Officer. Even after the exit of former CEO Vince McMahon, Levesque managed to not only keep the company afloat but reach new heights.
While teaming up with Shawn Michaels, Triple Hās DX faction took part in some of the wildest and most outrageous segments in WWE history.

The D-Generation X was the brainchild of Levesque and Shawn Michaels during the āAttitude Eraā. The group consisted of big names from the wrestling world including, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn.
The group often pushed the limit of what was acceptable, and their skits which became legendary among fans made the USA Network furious at that time. The network even wrote to Vince McMahon insisting that the groupās antics had gone too far.
During the conversation, Levesque told SPORTbible that the controversial nature of his skits with Shawn Michaels was so extreme that the USA Network intervened, forcing Vince to issue an ultimatum.

āWe were literally getting threatened to be fired every week, when we would come back, Vince, but he was getting letters from USA (Network), thereās a very famous skit that we did where USA (Network) had been on us for weeks that these guys cannot say that stuff, they cannot do those gestures, they have to stop it!ā Levesque revealed.
āVince would tear us apart, you guys are going to get us thrown off the air, God Damn! he (McMahon) was pissed, but he wasnāt doing anything about it. So thereās a moment in time that we get this letter from USA network that- the whole letter is ā the DX has gone too far,ā He added.
The faction decided to have some fun by reading the aforementioned letter from the USA Network during an episode of Raw, much to the amusement of the WWE top brass, who found it entertaining.
Levesque and Michaels were never fired as we all know now and they went on to become the greatest wrestlers of their time, breaking many records in the process.
Design Miami 2015: traditional automotive brands “don’t need to be scared” of upstarts including Tesla and Apple ā and the cars of the future may not be electric, according to Audi’s head of experiential marketing. Other power sources including fuel cells may turn out to be more effective than batteries, Bernhard Neumann told Dezeen, although he said “the end of the combustion engine will come for sure.” When asked whether brands like Audi felt threatened by the hype around battery-powered electric vehicles being developed by American companies, Neumann said: “I don’t think we need to be scared. We are very aware and we are adapting very fast.” Californian company Tesla has led the charge towards electric cars, launching the Tesla Roadster in 2008, and Apple is widely expected to follow suit.
Mainstream rivals have since raced to catch up and develop battery-powered vehicles. BMW launched its first electric car, the i3, in 2013 while Porsche unveiled its first all-electric sports car in September.
But while petrol is on its way out as a fuel source, its replacement is not yet certain, Neumann added. “That is the million-dollar question. Everybody is thinking now that it is electric, but I also see alternatives. For example the fuel cell.”
Neumann spoke to Dezeen at Design Miami in Florida last week, where the brand presented its forthcoming E-tron Quattro electric sport-utility vehicle. This will be the German car brand’s first all-electric car when it goes on sale in 2018. Yet Audi is hedging its bets, and will also next year showcase a version powered by fuel cells, which convert energy from fuels such as hydrogen into electricity via a chemical reaction rather than combustion.
Audi is also joining Tesla, Google, Apple and others by developing concepts for driverless cars, adapting its RS 7 performance cars to travel at speed around race tracks without a driver. Sven Schuwirth, vice president of brand strategy and digital business at the brand, told Dezeen last month that autonomous vehicles could “disrupt the entire business of domestic flights” as business travellers sleep in their cars rather than fly.
